Apr 16, 2014 · Hi, We are looking at using Azure Backup with DPM 2012, and also looking at implementing a site-to-site VPN from our network to Azure. I am supposing that the traffic from DPM to the Backup Vault in Azure is going to travel over our general Internet connection and not use our site-to-site VPN; is this true?

Intranet-based site-to-site VPN is created between an organization's propriety networks, while extranet-based site-to-site VPN is used for connecting with external partner networks or an intranet. The connection in a site-to-site VPN is generally enabled through a VPN gateway device. In a real world scenario, a Remote Office’s ISP or something in their local Internet may be blocking access to Google, or any other site for that matter. Number of sites are 40 and required Bandwidth at Center side is 1.5 Gbps and Branch side it required bandwidth is 30mbps with IPsec vpn. The shared internet link capacity is 100 mbps around 50mbps is granteed, So I will use to multiple internet link at center Site and Branch side one internet Link will be used.

I want to send all traffic on VLAN 99 in Site A over the site to site VPN to Site B. Even internet traffic so it looks like VLAN 99 is coming in and out of Site B.
